I love the changing of seasons! After a long winter, we look forward to Spring. As the mud dries up and the temperatures get warmer we look forward to summer. Towards the end of summer after working in the garden, yard, and all the fun, I look forward to fall. The crispness in the air, the change of the colors and then finally it comes again the anticipation of snow.

On our first snow storm a few weeks ago my little granddaughter was so excited when the snowflakes began to drift slowly from the sky. She couldn’t wait to go outside and she was even more excited to build a snowman as the snow began to pile up.
Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, the snow didn’t last long and her snowman melted quite quickly.
Snowflake the Cat
The anticipation is the same in this book “Snowflake the Cat and the first winter snow.” Do you remember what it felt like to you when you saw snow for the first time? Well, it is probably easier to ask, do you know how excited your child was about the snow? Or maybe you don’t live in a place where you are lucky enough to have snow. Do you dream about what it would feel like? This is a fun book to teach a child about their 5 senses.
Snowflake the cat loved to daydream about what the snow would feel, taste, look, sound and smell like. She laid dreaming on the couch while Sarah decorated the Christmas Tree. Snowflake was dreaming about snow, and how wonderful it would be. She was so excited when she and Sarah saw the snowflakes gently glide to the ground. What great excitement she felt.
